A portrait in time. I was living in San Francisco, scoring drugs in Golden Gate Park some time in October when the Bluegrass Festival takes place. I was falling in love with new people, watching as they fell in love with someone else, and ultimately enjoying the transition from summer to fall.
lyrics
When the wind blows, all my property goes
My property goes
And when the rain falls, all my life flows to the riverbank
Riverbank
And when my hair's pulled tight, Oh-oh how I like
Oh how I like
And when my husband leaves me, I'll be happier
I'll be happier
clap-clap-clap-clap ahhh
clap-clap-clap-clap ahhh
When I make out with somebody new
They get married, married
But I'm not offended, EU citizenship is really appealing
And I wanna make it better, better
I wanna make it better, better
When you come back, we'll put our hands in our pockets
And walk through the park again
And all the bluegrass bands will sing for you
They will sing for you
And I'll get my fedora back, even though its yours
There's days that I miss it
And we'll start a family in the mission with
Greg, Piper, Paris and Jing-jing
